Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Rachel Schlachter, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. I currently work with youth, adolescents, and adults, including parents/guardians, families and couples and am a LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapist.

I provide virtual services to provide clients with a flexible opportunity to receive therapeutic services at their convenience.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I have experience treating anxiety and depression, trauma, ADHD, behavioral concerns, emotional distress, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), grief, coparenting and parenting concerns, LGBTQ + issues, gender identity, body image and/or self-esteem issues. I also have training in Trauma Focused CBT, Exposure Therapy, and Crisis Intervention.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal is to allow clients to share their story in a safe and empathetic environment.

I enjoy using creative techniques to allow clients to express themselves including writing and drawing. I will provide a playful environment when working with youth and adolescents to engage in rapport building and expression. I will encourage healthy coping skills including meditation, grounding and self care techniques for all clients.
