Hi there, my name is Nicole Johnson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and owner of Beginner's Mind PLLC. I specialize in working with BIPOC populations. I have clinical experience working with children, families, parents, and adults 18+ in school-based, office settings, and inpatient to help youth and adults utilize strengths, regulate emotions and behaviors, increase positive self-image, and improve relationships with self, family, peers, and community.

My approach to therapy is holistic -addressing mind, body, spirit, self and environment. I meet people where they are in life with compassion and non-judgement. I believe we are all doing the best we can and having an understanding of where we are and how we got here matters. Throughout the therapeutic relationship, I help you to validate, educate, reduce or alleviate distressing moods and behaviors, improve self acceptance, and increase meaningful engagements.
