Great to meet you!

As a Black Caribbean woman growing up in a melting pot of a city, I’ve seen the heartache of invalidated mental health concerns and the impact of unsupported mental health on families and communities. My passion for this work grew out of the desire for more trusted community members who could be brought in to support often-silenced mental health and emotional wellness needs.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I create a brave space for growth and healing. My clients feel supported yet challenged in our time together. Therapy is a place where the difficult but necessary things are said, and often times clients are able to put words to feelings they have not yet verbalized. I believe that clients can find the answers within themselves if they are willing to do the difficult work of looking inward.

What you can expect from our first session

My clients describe our therapeutic space as one they look forward to returning to. The therapy I offer comes with a full range of experiences, from laughter to tears, from activities to reflective processing, from work within and outside of the sessions to everything in between. Given that folks often come to therapy concerned with fears of judgment or not being seen or heard, I actively work to create a space where clients can bring their full authentic selves and cultural identities.
