Great to meet you!

I received a Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2007 from the University of South Florida, and went on to receive my Master's degree in Social Work from USF in 2010. During that time I worked full time and interned working with clients that had experienced traumatic events. Before starting private practice, I worked as a school social worker with students ages 3-22 for 12 years, gaining my licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, becoming a qualified LCSW supervisor.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I try to find creative solutions to therapy based on your needs, which might include mindfulness activities based on your interests, therapeutic game play, creating concrete goals and plans, and/or following your lead to find the best evidence-based practice that will work for you.

What you can expect from our first session

I would expect that each client should walk away from a session feeling better than they walked in. Even during the busiest times when it's difficult to carve out an hour for anything, you should leave the session feeling glad that you kept your appointment. I will help you set goals and then point out and celebrate every success. Therapy will be a safe space for you to vent and feel heard and validated. If we are also able to have a few laughs in the time we have, I would not be surprised.
