Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Max, and I am a social worker/talk therapist. I have worked in community mental health for the past decade in a diverse range of settings from food pantries to substance use treatment, crisis counseling to supportive housing. I am passionate about getting people through a rough patch in their life or unpacking painful experiences from the past. The world we live in today can be incredibly overwhelming, and I'm glad that you are here looking for a listening ear. You deserve it!

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am antiracist and a member of the queer community, and I love providing knowledgeable support to people across all cultural groups. I like to think of myself as a cheerleader for my clients (as cheesy as that sounds), and I believe it's important to model how we can all be kinder to ourselves.

What you can expect from our first session

Everyone's goals for therapy are different, and we can work together to find tools and strategies to get you where you want to be. Living with a mental illness can feel very isolating at times, and I strive to normalize this experience and provide hope.
