Great to meet you!

I specialize in trauma related to combat, sexual assault, and childhood physical/sexual abuse. I'm experienced with LGBTQIA+ concerns. I assist Vets and First Responders with concerns related to service/deployment. My family runs a non-profit, Reforged.org, to support Vets' and First Responders' mental health through blade smithing and counseling in a non-traditional setting. I have a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I provide a therapeutic experience best aligned to each client's needs by training with leaders in the field. I strive to provide a nonjudgmental, supportive, safe environment to protect and respect client privacy. My personal experiences as a military child/spouse and adoptive/foster parent provide me with first hand insight into issues of trauma, transition, and family relationships. I'm passionate about helping people experience post-traumatic growth.

What you can expect from our first session

The thought of sharing their trauma is overwhelming for some. Many people share their story for the first time in our initial session. A deep dive is not required to begin therapy. We move at your pace. I offer a safe space to focus on your objectives. I am honest and empathetically offer challenge to inspire change. We will work to expand your skills to manage coping, thoughts, and behaviors each session. If a concept or assignment doesn't resonate with you, we will find a different approach.
