Great to meet you!

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, familial conflict, or trauma history? I am a client-focused therapist, and will tailor sessions to your needs. I have experience with CBT, solution-focused, and trauma-informed psychotherapy methodologies, among others. I am aware of how cultural identity shapes my role as a clinician, and am a LBTQIA+ practitioner. I have been a practicing psychotherapist for five years in a clinic, and recently transitioned into private practice.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My treatment approach is person-centered, and rooted in evidence-based and trauma-informed care that focuses on how your life experiences have shaped your relationships with yourself and those around you. I worked for an OMH-funded public mental health clinic for four years, where I established my client-centered focus. I also utilize both body- and mind-centered coping techniques, which have been a crucial part of my practice and my clients’ success and progress.

What you can expect from our first session

My main goals for my clients include improved management of emotions and understanding of mental health, and a decrease in symptoms detrimental to daily functioning. I hope you can come to see your mental health experiences as manageable and a source of resilience. I care about my clients, and provide you a safe space to process your emotions and explore your beliefs and experiences without judgment.
