Great to meet you!

I am a WA State Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I use she/her pronouns. I am currently in process of pursuing my Infant Mental Health Endorsement through the Washington Association for Infant Mental Health and my Perinatal Mental Health Certificate through Postpartum Support International. I primarily work with pregnant persons, new parents and caregivers, young children (5 and under) and their families, as well as children with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My primary approach is establishing a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a safe space for you, children and families to build on strengths, gain new tools and skills, and address concerns. I use tools from various treatment methods depending on your needs. I have extra training in Infant and Perinatal (Maternal) Mental Health, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), play therapies and others.

What you can expect from our first session

It is important to me to engage as much of the family unit as possible. I encourage parents to bring in infants for their own new parenthood experience, or I require parental engagement if focusing on the child's wellbeing. I encourage open communication about the therapy process, because it is always possible to shift how you and I are approaching your goals - or to adjust your goals!
