Great to meet you!

My life's work has been to help others, be it personally or professionally.. In this effort, I have obtained a both a Bachelors and Masters in Social Work and continued my education through courses, webinars, symposiums and formal individual and group supervision. I have worked in community mental health as a clinician, supervisor and director, I have worked in college settings as a clinician for over ten years and in private practice serving a diverse community for 12 years.

A bit about my approach to therapy

As every individual and situation is unique, I believe it is important to be fluid in treatment approaches. I utilize person centered treatment strategies, meeting my clients "where they are". Modalities I utilize in treatment include, but are not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused brief therapy, interpersonal therapy, polyvagal treatment, trauma informed treatment and psychodynamic approaches.

What you can expect from our first session

It is my hope that my clients leave my sessions with a sense of security, validation and unconditional positive regard. That they gain in insight into themselves, their world and the interaction between both. That skills to navigate emotional experience, relationships, stressful situations, family dynamics, health issues and trauma are learned and generalized to lead to a more fulfilling life.
