Hello, I'm Juan, and I look forward to being your partner as you journey towards health.

I believe that communication is key to finding your healthiest self and we will learn new skills in this through the use of mindfulness, dialogue, and guided reflection. I am excited to bring my skills and experience to our conversations and cannot wait to watch you achieve your goals on this road.

I focus on cognitive-behavioral methods in where we explore how your thought patterns impact your actions and work to develop new ways of processing your circumstances. I also use the Imago Dialogue, a communication tool that helps individuals and couples establish a safe and healthy framework for discussion and exploration of needs and desires.

Together we will work on identifying your goals for our sessions. We will process your experiences and, together, will develop appropriate actions you can take to help achieve those goals. While I encourage you to practice any skills we have learned in session, I am not typically fond of giving "homework". My motto is, "If the tool works, use it. If not, we can leave it in the box."
