Great to meet you!

I am a licensed independent social worker and a licensed independent chemical dependency counselor with over 15 years of experience with individuals, couples, families, and groups from many different backgrounds and settings. I'm interested in long term, sustainable recovery. There are a lot of therapies out there that claim to be ‘the’ way, but I find that if something is too good to be true, it probably is.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I take an eclectic approach to counseling, using many different therapeutic modalities—it all depends on what we want to work on together. You are the expert of you, so our sessions will include a lot of listening and learning. My role is to understand your experiences and work with you on effective ways to manage symptoms and move toward recovery.

What you can expect from our first session

I am sincere, (gently) challenging, and will bring authenticity to our sessions. After all, how can I expect you to open up with me if I'm not willing to be myself with you? I love what I do for a living, and I bring that energy to my sessions, because I am passionate about helping people become who they want to be.
