My work emphasizes a nonjudgmental and accepting approach towards mental health as it takes immense courage to begin to ask for the support that most of us need at least one point in our life. I work with individuals that experience sudden shifts in their mood, have difficulty regulating their emotions, anxiety, depression, obsessions and compulsions, addiction, trauma, body image issues, and the natural difficulties that arise with living life in our busy modern day society.

I start from a trauma informed lens that utilizes multiple evidence based practices including ACT, CBT, and somatic based interventions. Trauma impacts the way you see yourself, others, and the word. It often results in initially coping in ways that feel therapeutic, but contribute to avoiding or suppressing the complex emotions that come with trauma. Our work begins here. Recognizing with compassion how you have coped with what has happened and taking gentle steps to cope in healthier ways.

My counseling style is that of honesty and collaboration. You are the expert of your own life, but I hope to be a support in identifying goals that improve your quality of life and connect you more to what you value through our work together. In each person there is so much to learn, reflect, and accept about ourselves. I hope to be a part of that process.
