Great to meet you!

I am a licensed art therapist and professional counselor with 8+ years experience with groups and individuals in crisis. Providing art therapy at an inpatient psychiatric hospital has given me a framework of inclusivity to offer practical insight and solutions to a wide range clients. Whether you are stressed, feeling stuck, or noticing miscommunications, I am capable to ‘meet you where you are’ and find solutions that are achievable.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach begins in the ‘here and now’ with trauma informed mindfulness training. I offer evidence based worksheets along with creative and narrative art making opportunities to increase emotional intelligence and self compassion. My goal is to bring you safety and emotional regulation while processing your emotions. The outcome of sessions is to embrace peace and calm while planning to meet your challenges by becoming a loving, accepting teaching for yourself during times of change.

What you can expect from our first session

In your first session I will be actively listening without judgement so you can feel welcome to be your authentic self. You may not consider yourself creative, or an artist, but my primary goal is to work together to gain insight around the issues at hand and make a plan to decrease stress and increase your coping skills. I am a great fit for those not afraid to think outside the box and I am inclusive of the unique needs of neurodiverse individuals, LGBTQIA+, or the chronically misunderstood.
