Great to meet you!

Thanks for clicking on me! I have been in private practice for 20+ years and have learned the joy and pain of finding purpose in the human condition with and through my clients. I earned my Masters in Social Work at the University at Albany, SUNY. I have vast experience in coping/healing from various traumas, PTSD, separation, shame, anxiety, and a strong background in trust issues, all types of relationships, as well as a forte for LGBTQIA relationships and parenting.

A bit about my approach to therapy

No one trick-pony here ~ I have many tools in my shed and we'll figure out together which one(s) work for you. I draw from several disciplines that are holistic and traditional. These include: EFT, Transpersonal, Human Givens, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, Jungian, as well as solution-focused and task-oriented modalities.

What you can expect from our first session

First things first: Are we a good fit? Let's get to know a bit about each other and ensure my approach will benefit you. I'm compassionately direct and likely to not hold back if I believe it will be of service to you or the therapeutic relationship. My goal is for you to be able to take away something from each session with the motivation to apply it your life outside our time together. Practice makes progress!
