Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Jake and I have been working as a clinical social worker for over 10 years. My specializations include ADHD, depression, anxiety, and difficult life adjustments. I pride myself on my ability to use analogies and examples that are custom-designed to match someone's interests, strengths, and needs. My goal is to help clients understand what they are going through and leave feeling empowered to press toward their goals.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is warm, compassionate, and solution-focused. While providing clients with a secure place to feel heard and understood, I also want clients to feel confident that our time together is helping them get closer to their goals. I use a lot of cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect that each session will be a secure place for them to discuss any concerns or worries without fear of judgment. My goal is that clients leave each session feeling confident and empowered to take steps toward their goals. My clients and co-workers frequently comment on my ability to explain complex behavioral health and psychology concepts in a simple way that is easy to understand.
