Great to meet you!

Anxiety is often a barrier to living a meaningful life. My practice focuses on treating individuals struggling with anxiety disorders such as panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and agoraphobia. I use evidence-based methods, some of which I helped develop. I have a Ph.D. in Psychology and have published over 30 articles on the nature and treatment of the anxiety disorders. Let's talk about what's holding you back from realizing your potential.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Treating anxiety disorders with cognitive-behavioral methods is backed by decades of research. Adding an Acceptance and Commitment modality improves the therapy experience by focusing on your personal values while reducing the negative effects of anxiety. It is typically your current efforts to cope with anxiety that are blocking you from more meaningful experiences in life. The strategies I use can effectively remove those blocks and open you up to a new way of living.

What you can expect from our first session

Evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders involves the therapist and client developing a collaborative working relationship and treatment plan. It's important to understand the barriers that anxiety and fear creates in one's life, the way that our current behavior increases the negative effect of anxiety over the long term, and how we can begin to change that trajectory to achieve a more complete and satisfying life.
