Great to meet you!

Is Parenting Feeling Tough Right Now? Being a parent can be great, but it comes with challenges, especially if you're navigating adoption, a blended family, or caring for a relative's child. You're not alone and support is available to guide you through. Hi! I'm Dr. Glenda Clare. I am licensed in mental health and addictions counseling. I've got lived experience growing up in a blended family and being the caregiver for a relative’s child. Think Possibilities!

A bit about my approach to therapy

If you're feeling like things aren't working in your family, know that it's okay to seek help. Let's work together to figure out strategies that fit your family.

Partnership is key - I’m a nonjudgmental partner, here to create a safe space as I lend a helping hand. I will partner with you to figure out your family dynamics - what’s working well and what needs some adjustment. I use trauma informed, solution-focused practices to help you explore strategies that fit your unique family needs.

What you can expect from our first session

Here's what you need to know about me: When I'm not working, I enjoy good conversation, vegetable gardening and riding my bike. Two of my favorite things are: 1) watching movies, and 2) reading books. There is so much therapeutic value in watching movies and reading. Know that I give homework assignments. Sometimes those assignments include watching a movie or reading a book. So much can be learned through witnessing the experiences of others via books and movies.
