Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual licensed Clinical Social Worker, fluent in English and Spanish. I attained a Master of Clinical Social Work degree from New York University. In Addition, I completed the following certifications: Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider, Rational-Emotive & Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and an Alcohol and Substance abuse Counseling Certification. I have been a professional in the field for the past 14 years, and I have been mainly working with the Hispanic community.

A bit about my approach to therapy

As a mental health provider, I have specialized in treating trauma-related (PTSD), depression, and anxiety disorders developed by individuals who have been victims of crimes, domestic violence and emotionally affected by familial separation due to immigration issues. My approach to therapy incorporates a culturally sensitive and holistic approach that integrates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, and Integrative Medicine Interventions.

What you can expect from our first session

Through therapy, I will use my knowledge and professional and personal life experience to make a difference in individuals going through difficult times and needing professional support. Clients will expect to learn, develop, and implement practical coping skills to manage psychiatric symptoms and to be able to carry out everyday responsibilities.
