Great to meet you!

I was drawn to social work because I have a lot of curiosity around how people attempt to make sense of different experiences and how this relates to their identity, purpose, and way of relating to others. I have a genuine interest in supporting individuals with this process and their goals. I take an active role during sessions, but will always collaborate and gather feedback from clients about what works best for them.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I like to take the first few sessions to explore clients' identities, past experiences, and their reasons for seeking therapy. I'm relationally-oriented, meaning that I take a lot of interest in clients' current and past relationships and how they have impacted the way they view themselves and others. There are many different ways to approach therapy, and I prioritize a collaborative approach so that clients feel understood and confident that we can make progress towards their goals.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal is for clients to come away from sessions feeling that they have concrete tools and more understanding of themselves and how to work towards their goals. I also invite feedback from clients that want to make changes during sessions if they think a different approach would be more helpful or supportive.
