Specializes in

LGBTQIA+, PTSD, and Trauma

Great to meet you!

In general, I work from a toolkit that centers anti-racist, trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ centered practice. I’m drawn to modalities that consider the complexity of the emotional, relational and physiological, focusing on the whole person and the impact of broken systems on the human experience, rather than modalities that pathologize or focus solely on cognition.

A bit about my approach to therapy

The majority of my work centers on trauma and recovery, which can look like a lot of things. I work primarily (but not exclusively!) with LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent folks, and those who have experienced addiction. My practice is strongly aligned with fat liberation and HAES (Health at Every Size). I love working with creative folks or those aiming to pursue something hard/worthwhile. I'm also available to work with other white folks who are looking to engage in anti-racist work.

What you can expect from our first session

I consider it my primary role to understand, as best I can, how you make meaning of the world; to reflect that back to you, supporting you when you’re stuck, offering my take when it’s useful, being a safe place to land when it’s hard, and exploring interventions that might help you figure out what you need most today and how you want to move into tomorrow.
