As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Art Therapist, and Registered Expressive Arts Therapist, I enjoy helping clients heal from trauma as they discover and trust their own inner voice. Often times we lose our ability to speak our own needs and establish boundaries following a traumatic experience. We tend to not trust ourselves or others.
A bit about my approach to therapy
My approach to therapy is encourage client's to begin a therapy using Visual Journaling, a combination of visual arts and written journaling, to express both thoughts and feelings. This allows client's the opportunity to explore day to day worries and stressors before beginning trauma-focused therapy. Negative thoughts can be replaced through the lens of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
