Great to meet you!

Recently Liz earned her Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Counselor Education from NCSU and now teaches masters-level counseling students at Northwestern University.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Liz has advanced training in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). Liz is most passionate about working with teens and adults who are struggling with life challenges related to stress management, school/employment, relationships, past and present life experiences, including childhood maltreatment and trauma.

What you can expect from our first session

Liz can help you reduce anxious thoughts, anxious body sensations (nauseous, pounding heart, shaking), panic attacks, phobias, & emotional disturbance associated with anxiety. Liz’s counseling will feel compassionate, empathetic, and suited to your individual needs. Liz works hard to ensure that you feel heard, valued, and helped! Liz offers individual counseling sessions, group sessions, skills training classes, webinars, and workshops.
