My name is Damari Pedroza, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I obtained my first master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from NYACK The Alliance Graduate Counseling School in 2016. In May of 2022, I received my second master's degree in Professional Studies from NYACK The Alliance Theological Seminary School where I concentrated on Urban Ministry Counseling.

I use a person-centered approach when working with clients. I am certified in Family Trauma, Child & Adolescent Trauma as well as in Anxiety. I am also trained in Play Therapy, Sand tray therapy for both children & adults. I am also trained in ADHD for both children & adults.

You can expect to get homework from me. However, it is not like being school. The work I give is so that you can deeper within yourself and begin the healing process from past traumas and pain. I believe that beauty can come out of ashes and that a person can learn to manage those raw emotions that most times come with hurt. I believe that you can heal and live a healthy lifestyle despite past experiences.
