Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Illinois, offering telehealth video and audio sessions. I've been in practice since 2006, after graduating with an MS in Family Therapy from Texas Woman's University. My focus is on treating adult individuals who struggle with stress, anxiety, self-esteem, difficult life transitions/adjustments, and relationships in general. I also work with couples who struggle with issues related to communication, conflict resolution, intimacy, and trust.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I'm goal-oriented in my approach, and encourage those that I work with to write a few goals to guide our work together. I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused, and Narrative Therapy with the individuals that I treat. For couples, I use techniques from The Gottman Method.

What you can expect from our first session

Each session, we review current and new stressors; we check-in about progress with treatment goals; we process challenges; celebrate successful utilization of new skills and techniques; add new skills as needed to reduce symptoms and encourage practice, practice, and more practice of skills between sessions.
