Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues, and Stress

Great to meet you!

I have a Master’s of Science in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon in Eugene and have been practicing therapy with individuals, relationships, and groups since 2014. I have experience in practice settings including community mental health, schools, emergency crisis response, and private practice. Some examples of my specialty concerns are: communication, enhanced intimacy, sexual dysfunctions, social anxiety, depression, life transitions, and self-esteem.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I love helping fellow nerds/geeks learn to find their own emotions, appreciate their partner's emotions, and more effectively communicate and connect. I also enjoy working with people looking to enhance their communication skills and sense of connection and intimacy. I'm a strong believer in being proactive and setting your relationships up for success. My approach is an intentional blend of Solution-Focused and Narrative therapies, DBT, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

You can expect to be held accountable to your goals and have some homework between sessions. The work is mainly on your shoulders but I'm here to guide you. Depending on your concerns, success in one area may reveal goals in others. You affect and are affected by all of your relationships, big and small. I believe we are all doing the best we can with the knowledge and resources we have available to us. Change is possible!
