Great to meet you!

My experience in mental health is trauma focused and evidence based. I have worked with a wide range of clients in terms of population, with very young children as well as clients in their 90's, people of varied cultural backgrounds & gender identities. I am an LGBTQI ally & advocate for every human to be treated fair and equally. I have my BSW and MSW and worked in the field of social work for the past 14 years. I am a parent and have personal experience with various disabilities in my family.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to find out what my clients want to accomplish, to focus on their strengths and help empower them to manage emotions, set boundaries of their choosing and accomplish their personal goals. I am here for them, to be their support and encourager. I believe we can accomplish a lot by working together.

What you can expect from our first session

I am very intentional in providing treatment. I use evidence-based interventions that really do work to help clients feel better. I want to have open, honest conversations, be real and acknowledge mistakes when they are made. I do not want to waste any one's time as I believe everyone's time is very valuable. I check in with clients regularly to make sure they feel that we are making progress and are really accomplishing their goals.
