Specializes in

Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and Trauma

Great to meet you!

My area of expertise is working with trauma ranging from acute, chronic, and complex. I have experience in working with childhood trauma, domestic violence, natural disasters, physical abuse, and car accidents. I also have experience working with anxiety, ADHD, bipolar, depression, dissociation, grief, life changes, and post-traumatic stress. From my experience, I have learned that everyone has the capacity, inner resources, and resiliency in them to change and heal.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Everyone deserves to be seen and heard. When we take a moment to acknowledge this, it influences curiosity and openness. This can then lead us to changes that we are hoping for. I believe that curiosity, openness, and hope, lay the foundation and groundwork to yield a successful outcome in therapy. This new foundation will allow us to heal from the past, overcome adversity we have in the present, and thrive in our future.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe that there is no cookie cutter way to approach therapy, so my style is more eclectic. I believe in using whatever is best suited for the client. I practiced from a trauma-informed perspective and some of the orientations that I incorporate into my practice include: EMDR, IFS, CBT, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy. In addition, I also incorporate working with the body as a holistic approach.
