Great to meet you!

I have my Master's of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Latino/a Family studies. I am a Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Pennsylvania + California and was first licensed in 2010. I was licensed in Virginia as well, when we had to relocate to the DC area for my husband's work, from 2013 to 2017. I have worked community mental health and private practice. I have worked with families, children, couples and adults. I do not work with EAPs.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Ultimately, the therapeutic relationship is the most important to make sure therapy will be the most effective. At the same time we get to know one another I will gather relevant information to get a better understanding of your trauma history, strengths, support systems, coping skills and needs. I use humor, metaphors and psychoeducation to help build understanding.

What you can expect from our first session

I offer 1-on-1 individual therapy, via telehealth, to California residents to help increase self care, improve communication and connection with your spouse. I will help to decrease your mom guilt, decrease sadness and will help you find joy in daily life again.
