Great to meet you!

I am a mother of five, who chose to complete her degree in counseling after my children were in high school. My career working with children as a counselor began in 2017. I enjoy working with children because of their resilience and strength. Children show their hope for a better world as they face difficult challenges and find ways to endure. I find satisfaction in helping these children learn healthy coping skills so they can share their inner beauty.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy centers on Carl Roger's humanistic theory. A genuine, positive relationship between client and therapist helps healing occur. I prefer to use creative activities, such as art and play, to help children express themselves and learn new skills. I use concepts from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ARC (Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency) and PC-Care (Parent-Child Care).

What you can expect from our first session

My aim is to give clients a safe place to express themselves and experience hope as they learn ways to cope with their challenges.
