Grief, Loss, Trauma, and Women's Issues

Great to meet you!

I am a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, licensed as a Creative Arts Therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State. I have experience working with children, adults and families in their homes, outpatient mental health as well as during inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Currently I work mostly with women who are seeking help due to experiencing trauma or having difficulty with body image and self-esteem.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My style is relational and eclectic, as I adapt to the needs and comfort level of the person I am working with. Appointments will blend movement, art-making, mindfulness and talking to develop more insight, awareness and tools to assist you toward shifting out of unhelpful patterns in order to move toward a more authentic and meaningful life.

What you can expect from our first session

Therapy is a place for you to feel understood, feel more at home in your body-mind and make shifts to improve your relationships. We might also work on helping you find new ways of handling situations, thoughts and feelings as well as feeling less impacted by past traumas.
