Great to meet you!

I’m Alyssa Williams, a fully licensed clinical social worker. In my most recent years as a psychotherapist I have spent my time working with adults of all age ranges, in college, in professional careers, even in retirement who need professional support in managing demanding lifestyles, transitions, processing past traumas, conflicts, grief and loss, managing mental illness including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, addictions and any range of unexpected crisis that occur in life.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach includes helping to guide my clients on their healing journey by using a Cognitive Behavioral Framework that is person-centered and strengths based. I work collaboratively with clients to address how thoughts, feelings and behaviors interconnect, also to identify their unique strengths and leverage them in order to overcome challenges, achieve goals and create meaningful change in their lives.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe in the importance of creating a safe space for my clients, allowing them to feel heard, validated and supported throughout this journey of healing. I will help you to identify your strengths, identify barriers to growth, help you to process emotional wounds and also manage the variety of challenges that come with life.
