Great to meet you!

I'm a NYC based licensed mental health counselor with 7 years of experience providing individual and group therapy. I have worked with all ages and have extensive experiencing working with the LGBTQ+ community. I’ve been on both sides of the couch and know how important a strong therapeutic relationship is to a person’s growth. I find I do my best work with teens and millennial adults who struggle with childhood trauma, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem, relational trauma and depression.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I work from a client-centered approach that is trauma-informed, queer positive and anti-oppressive. I utilize evidenced based treatments such as DBT, attachment theory and relational therapy to help you connect your past with your present and build new skills for emotional regulation, self-compassion and interpersonal relationships.

What you can expect from our first session

I utilize the therapy space as a way to help you build empathy and understanding for yourself, develop insight into long-term relational patterns that may be holding you back, and build skills for emotional regulation. Therapy can be intimidating and may feel uncomfortable as you begin to let go of old patterns and beliefs that no longer serve you. I focus on providing a safe space to move at your pace and act as a model for how to compassionately treat yourself and others.
