Great to meet you!

My name is Alexandra and I am a licensed professional counselor who works predominantly with clients who need support through the perinatal period and parenting. I work with adults and families from a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective to help all members feel supported and empowered.

A bit about my approach to therapy

With specialized training in perinatal mental health and Child-Parent Psychotherapy, I provide care for individuals and families experiencing trauma and mental health issues. I use an emotion-focused approach with awareness of the mind-body connection to guide the client’s process to strengthen connection to self and others. As a former teacher, child therapist and parent, I understand the importance of supporting caregivers to improve the health of the entire system.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe that authenticity, balance and connection are available to all of us, regardless of past pain or current stuckness. I am guided by the motto “You have to feel it to heal it”, and provide a safe and compassionate space in which individuals and families are invited to process pain, anger, loss, and fear, integrate those experiences and move forward.
