Great to meet you!

I am a trauma specialist committed to helping people survive & thrive after crisis, trauma, or in times of stress. I also specialize in treating mood & borderline personality disorders. My work focuses on building strength & resiliency through a variety of creative & evidence-based approaches. My practice blends real world crisis management & response experience since 2005, and clinical knowledge & experience since 2017.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe in a straightforward, collaborative approach to treatment built on honesty and humor. I promise to be there for every step of your counseling journey. I will provide support when you are struggling, push you when you need it, and help you use your strengths to find your own unique solutions and resiliency. I’m passionate about creating culturally competent mental health resources for the first responder, medical professional, military/veteran, & LGBTQIA communities.

What you can expect from our first session

During an initial session my primary focus is gaining a deeper understanding of my clients life & concerns, along with their desired outcomes & goals for counseling so that we can work as a team to generate the best treatment plan. As our sessions progress, clients can expect a holistic approach to therapy that address their overall mental health & wellness. I use a variety of techniques to individualize treatment, but I often blend solution-focused and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy.
