She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, Master's degree in family practitioner specialty at South University in Savannah, Georgia, Doctorate in Nursing from Chatham University, and a post-masters degree in psychiatric mental health from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
