I am glad you're here. It's not always easy to reach out for support and it takes a lot of courage to start therapy. I'm Tessa, an LCSW, PMH-C, that is deeply committed and passionate about helping others along their mental health journey. You do not have to be alone in your suffering, with help you can feel better!
A bit about my approach to therapy
We all go through challenging times in life. It's easy to feel lost, demotivated, stuck, fearful or overwhelmed, but... that’s okay. These feelings are normal. Taking this step to seek support is huge and I strive to create a safe, warm and supportive environment for you to begin your healing journey. I use a holistic approach and incorporate a variety of treatment modalities (CBT, DBT, ACT) to support you and your goals for treatment.
What you can expect from our first session
You will feel that you have found a safe space to share your inner thoughts and feelings. We will focus on your internal strengths and reflect on the obstacles your have overcome. We will work together to identify goals and practical ways to help you achieve them. I will be your biggest cheerleader, utilizing warmth, humor and compassion throughout our time together.
