We all have times in our lives that feel overwhelming. In these situations, it's natural to have strong reactions or emotions that are hard to manage. I can help you recover your sense of well-being, find compassion for yourself, and tap into your strengths. I offer a consistent and supportive setting, but I will also challenge you and highlight where there's room for self-awareness and change. Therapy can be used as a resource to learn real-life skills: through our work together, you will be able to shift the way you respond to stress, cope more effectively with depression or anxiety, and let go of unhelpful behaviors or beliefs that aren't serving you.
I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma or PTSD, whether in their childhoods, in a relationship, or due to COVID-19 or a recent isolated experience. As my style is trauma-informed, I recognize that difficult experiences from our past impact our self-worth and our ability to feel comfortable connecting with others.
If you struggle with self-esteem, maintaining healthy relationships, managing emotions and/or you've survived a difficult, abusive or neglectful childhood, I may be a good fit for you. I offer in-depth therapy as well as skills training in Mindfulness and Stress Reduction. Please feel free to reach out to discuss options and make a plan. You are worth it.
