Your mental health affects all aspects of functioning in your work, family, social and romantic life. It can be difficult to manage your different roles when dealing with barriers such as difficulty managing anxiety, the stress of being a working professional, racial fatigue with being the only person of color in the workplace or the pressures of maintaining healthy relationships. You need a safe space, free of judgment to work through it all.
I am here to offer that space and empower you to pull on the strengths you already have to adjust to life’s inevitable challenges. I promote healing, nurturing an authentic self-image, and strengthening relationships to do so.
I take a trauma-informed and strength-based approach to counseling, tailored to the needs of the client. I may utilize various modalities to care that will aid you in managing difficult emotions, experiences and/or relationships. However, I will communicate with you what methods are showing up in the therapeutic space and often ask for your feedback.
We will collaborate together on the focus of sessions so that you are comfortable with your treatment goals. It is most important that you have a voice in your care!
