My approach to psychotherapy is holistic. This means that I work with the body, mind and spirit. I work with a fairly diverse population of people, ranging in age from early 20's to late 70's with all kinds of backgrounds and issues. I have a passion for helping others empower themselves. Some of my specialties include; helping others create love in their lives or bring more happiness to their current relationship, deal with anxiety/social anxiety from a body-mind oriented perspective and get unstuck from a lifeless job or career.
I combine my Master's level training in Psychodynamic Social Work with Cognitive Behavioral, Buddhist Philosophy and mindfulness training. I also offer for those who want to move beyond talk therapy, a body-centered therapy called "Core Energetics" (designed to move stuck energy) and "internal Family Systems", IFS (a more gentle body-centered technique).
I am a compassionate therapist, who helps clients explore their underlying fears and emotions in a safe and supportive environment I understand that even calling a therapist for the first time can be somewhat anxiety provoking, but I encourage you to do so.
