My areas of expertise include helping people recover from trauma, family of origin issues, spiritual abuse & other crises of faith, grief, anxiety, and substance use, as well as work through relationship issues and stage of life transitions. My style is empathic, supportive, and personable. If you choose to work with me, you can expect me to validate your feelings while also helping you examine your perspective, to explore and nurture your motivation to make changes in your life, to discuss boundaries and self-care, to help you develop coping skills to manage or alleviate anxiety/trauma responses, and to work on communication and conflict resolution skills. For couples, I am a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, and am currently undergoing additional training through the Gottman Institute. While I believe that pharmacology may be a necessary aid to many, I am also supportive of those who wish to seek healing through non-medicated means.
