A traumatic experience takes many forms, including but not limited to: a move to a new country, a break-up, an abusive work environment, or a crime related trauma including domestic violence, sexual assault, and neglect. These traumatic experiences can feel like they're happening over and over even when you're not currently in them, leading to fear and lack of trust. You deserve better than that.
I was in the Peace Corps where I lived and worked in Rwanda for more than 2 years. I witnessed the daily impact trauma had on individuals and society as a whole. I have worked in rape crisis as well as at Safe Horizon, the largest trauma-focused counseling center in the United States. Trauma is my passion, and alleviating symptoms is my bread and butter.
Therapy is a very unique space dedicated to you. I provide a safe, serene place for you to process your experiences, both the painful and happy ones. All feelings are welcome and accepted, and you can just be you, free of any judgement.
