By searching for a therapist, you've already taken the first step in making positive change in your life. I aim to create a warm and supportive therapy environment where clients feel understood and validated. I work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family issues, grief and bereavement, substance abuse, trauma, and career challenges. I approach therapy from a strength-based, relational, and psychodynamic perspective. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Functional Family Therapy (FFT). I also incorporate elements of mindfulness and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) into my work.
I have a particular interest in the interconnectedness of mind and body as well as working with those who are learning to cope with grief, loss, and bereavement, in addition to my work with individuals dealing with the challenges of everyday stressors.
I believe that there is no one-size-fits-all therapeutic approach and therefore I will work with you to find the approach that best suits your needs to help you achieve success.
