Great to meet you!

I am Shajuan Alexander, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

As a woman and professional, I've catered my career to helping people be human, acknowledging their emotions and creating firm boundaries. I am a firm believer that in order for a person to be whole, there has to be a foundation of self awareness that can be gained throughout of upbringings or our experiences. When clients experience me, I want to leave them knowing that mental wellness is achievable.

A bit about my approach to therapy

When it comes to my approach in therapy, I am collaborative and promote conversation style sessions. I offer to you an empathetic yet enthusiastic spirit of encouragement throughout sessions. I approach therapy authenticity the same as my clients, with flaws, imperfect, vulnerable and still in a place of actively learning through every experience that we share. I represent honesty and open communication.

What you can expect from our first session

I specialize in meeting clients where they are at the time they pursue therapy services. During sessions together, I aim to help each person attain a better understanding of themselves, their goals and values.

I assist in finding resolutions to the issues an teaching new ways to cope with stress and anxiety. While managing anger/sadness/emotional responses, I teach others to improve communication styles and set boundaries around triggers that are identified.
