Great to meet you!

I am married and the father of two teenage kids. I enjoy sports, movies, and music. My hobbies include golf, camping, hiking, and kayaking.

I graduated with my Master's degree in Counseling from Trevecca University in 2009. I became a Licensed Professional Counselor, and went on to obtain my Mental Health Service Provider designation in 2014. I have experience helping teenagers, adults, and couples with stress and anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family conflicts, and parenting issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am focused on creating a safe and trusting environment for clients to talk and explore. I tend to lean towards a more direct approach with regards to talking through issues expressed by clients so we can work with focus. I believe clients come to counseling for more than information and desire more than head nods and "uh-huhs". While it is important for clients to come to their own conclusions and decisions, I actively engage in sessions to provide support and guidance throughout the process.

What you can expect from our first session

I hope you leave each session feeling heard, respected and understood. I hope you feel that progress is being made, and that I am committed to working towards your goal.
