Great to meet you!

Having worked in a clinic for adults with developmental disabilities for 25 years, I’ve worked with individuals with autism, anxiety, depression, and PTSD, among others. I received my MSW from New York University and have been licensed in NY for thirty years. I have also supervised many LMSW clinicians to attain their LCSW.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use cognitive behavioral therapy theories, psychoeducation, and insight-oriented theory. I sincerely appreciate clients who commit and face the sometimes-painful work of therapy, knowing they are working toward a better life. I am welcoming Polyvagal Theory into my practice and find it enlightening to be aware of and befriend our nervous systems.

What you can expect from our first session

I believe therapy should be the place you work on yourself. It should be where you feel you can be with your thoughts, dreams, and most profound feelings, with someone you trust and believe has your best interest at heart. While it takes time to develop real trust, getting to work right away on skills and techniques can set you up for successfully facing what you’re struggling with.
