My ideal client is a woman who has a goal(s) to feel better in her skin, become aware of her true self, manage/cope with her pain, and work to shift her internal view of herself to a positive awareness of who she is. I work well with issues such as: anxiety; depression; trauma; self esteem; familial and other relationships. I also work with parents and children who exhibit ADHD.
As a therapist, I am a guide in supporting my clients to navigate through their internal experiences. I provide a neutral place with patience and hold the critical emotional space for them to attune to these experiences, at their pace. With expansive compassion for my clients I use skills within the IFS, EMDR, Somatic Intervention, and CBT, modalities.
Life includes a variety of sensations. On the surface we feel good or bad. If we decide to explore this on deeper levels we will discover that we are wired to feel safe. When there is potential threat, our system defends against it with good intentions to maintain safety. We get lost in feeling bad, guilt or shame. I want to help you shift your bad feelings.
