Headway

Rebeca Abboud-Sieben

Sometimes life’s everyday challenges are more than we can handle. Small issues that go unchecked often cause the greatest difficulties. My practice serves children, adolescents, adults and couples who need professional support to say how they feel, discover what they want and find needed answers. In a safe space, each individual is encouraged to encounter and express every feeling they are experiencing.

Life presents twists and turns. Each individual sets the pace, direction, speed and intensity of the discovery. As a bilingual professional, I am keenly sensitive and aware of cultural issues at play, and can offer therapeutic sessions in Spanish and English. Truly effective therapy is a journey and partnership. I am grateful to those who place their trust in me and permit me to join them in their journey toward self-discovery. For parents seeking therapy for their child, my role is as part of the team supporting their child, in a safe, respectful space, toward an emotionally healthy adulthood.

GROUP THERAPY: an open and welcoming space for participants to share ongoing issues and concerns they are experiencing. With input from members of the group and therapeutic guidance, members will find safety and support as they explore difficult emotions that are not allowed anywhere else.

MOTHER'S GROUP: in a safe space where moms - expectant moms, new moms and those with a little more experience - can find support. It is a place where women can share their fears, anxieties, joys and struggles related to motherhood. The vast array of changes that take place during this remarkable time in a woman’s life – physical, relationship, professional, etc. - can leave even the most ‘put together’ woman feeling overwhelmed. Participants are able to explore personal challenges and share ALL their thoughts and feelings.
