As a therapist, my goal is to provide guidance and support for individuals to reach their goals by helping them manage their thoughts and emotions. I believe having a therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the counseling process. My role in a therapeutic relationship is to form a dialogue, where I am a nonjudgmental helper rather than an expert. I work with individuals who face a range of social, emotional and behavioral needs. I use a person centered approach, aimed to assist the individuals with their specific needs. I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT),and Psychodynamic therapy, to help individuals gain insight, identify maladaptive behaviors and develop healthy coping skills.
