Orly

Years of working in the marketing industry and interacting with many different personality types led me to develop a keen interest in general mental health issues, and I concluded that I could best serve people if I had in-depth knowledge of human behavior. Once I understood the reward and privilege of working as a mental health counselor and assisting clients with improving their mental health and quality of life; changing careers was a no-brainer. Since I made this career change, I have not looked back. Entering the counseling field has been one of the most empowering decisions of my life. I love what I do and enjoy every moment of it. Now I know that the work of a mental health counselor aligns with the type of person I want to be.

I believe that all individuals deserve respect and dignity, and to have their cultural values and special needs considered regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, etc.

The combination of my practical experience and educational background has prepared me adequately for making a positive contribution to the profession and the world by focusing on strengthening my professionalism, honing my communication skills, and developing the work ethic required for long-term success in the field. My emphasis is on the client–counselor relationship and having a thorough understanding of mental health issues across one’s lifespan. I am excited about my professional endeavors as well as my continues personal growth as a mental health counselor.
