As a bi-cultural and native New Yorker I am dedicated to providing a safe, non-judgmental, therapeutic space for individuals of all backgrounds. The idea of therapy can be difficult for so many because of mental health stigmas, cultural stigmas, as well as a lack of connection with professionals.
My approach is focused on helping people understand and overcome the effects that trauma can have on the brain and the body. Trauma, of any kind, can impact many people in a variety of ways. I utilize several approaches in therapy, including trauma-informed work, DBT, & neurobiology, all within a social justice and holistic framework.
My background is in individual therapy with children, adolescents, and young adults, parent-management, play therapy, and family therapy. In addition, I approach each session with the importance of building a strong rapport with clients and appreciating the vulnerability and courage present in the room.
